provide depth information using one eye

objects that have more detail are closer than those with less

What is Height In The Plane?
objects that are closer to the horizon are closer than those that are futher away

an object that is covering another is closer than the one behind it

What is Linear Perspective?
narrow lines appear to meet in the distance objects nearer the vanishing point are perceived to be futher away
