What is the anima?
The anima refers to the feminine principle as present in the male unconscious.

The animus refers to the masculine principle as present in the female unconscious.

An archetype is an 'image generator'. They are distinct from the actual images they generate. They are inherited from our ancestors.

The 'God within' is the approach that internalises the idea of God and so rejects the idea of an external objective God.

What is individuation?
Individuation is the process by which individuals integrate the conscious and unconscious parts of their personality. It results in a balanced personality through the acceptance of the various archetypes into the conscious mind.

What is the libido?
Libido is the psyche's sexual drive.

What is the oedipus complex?
The oedipus complex is the sexual attraction of a boy to his mother and simultaneous fear of his father.

What is the shadow?
The shadow represnts the darker sides of our personality. i.e. jealousy, spite, pride, selfishness.
