This is a secure attachement/ infant will play in an unknown environment when care giver is present, uses care giver as a secure base, infant distressed when mother leaves/ 66% of american infants go into this catagory

This is insecure resistant attachment/ infant remains close to mother, very distressed on departure, however difficult to confort on reunion , shows inconsistent behabviour/ 12%of American infants go into this catagory

What is the conclusion of the study?
It is a good test for attachment , as it allows for a distinction of the different type/ type b is the most common

Evalution:
Lacks ecological validity/ high reliablity as other studies support it (results can be repeated)/ high validity as studies show type B are best emotional and socailly which is what this study shows/ stess they put on baby/ doesn't take in account dad
