Protein Structure

?
What are the building blocks of a protein structure?
Amino Acids.
1 of 6
What do the animo acid structures determine?
They determine how high the levels of structure are within the molecules.
2 of 6
What is the Aplha-Helix structure?
It is the first structure which is rod shaped and looks as though it is coiling around an imaginary cylinder.
3 of 6
What is the Teritary structure?
It is the formation/way that the coils i.e Aplha-Helix and Beta-Pleated Sheets fold in respect to one another.
4 of 6
What is the Quaternary structure?
It is the arrangement of polypeptide subunits within complex proteins that are made up of two or more subunits
5 of 6
How are proteins synthesised?
They are synthesissed during a process called translation.
