Just-In-Time production. This is when supplies are only ordered when required. It reduces stock pileup however is quite risky.

Customer dissatisfaction, cost of recalling products, cost of replacement, cost of waste, cost of wasted goods no one buys and also the cost of any legal actions.

Benefits- Customers return, a good reputation, more profits from a higher quality product and it improves the brand. However inpection is expensive, there are costs to choosing the best supplier and also of training staff.
