What is the difference between Batch production in comparison to Mass production?
Batch Production - The products are seperated in batches and go through each stageof manufacture in their batch. Mass Production is where a certain product is produced in large quantities for a low cost.

Just in time (JIT) production

How do people rely upon technology to manufacture products?
Work is commonly outsourced which means e-mail and video conferencing must be involved between the designer and the manufacturers.

Which method of production is required to manufacture a car?
A car would rely upon just in time production for all the parts. These are then assembled on an assembly line.

What advantages are there of using CAD/CAM over handmade manufacturing?
CAD/CAM is a lot more accurate. It is in some cases a lot more efficient and cheaper. CAD/CAM doesn't waste many resources. Doesn't require much human intervention.

Changing the internal properties of a material.
