Weeks 1-3
You release an egg two weeks after your period, in the third week the fetilised egg moves along the fallopian tube towards the womb and divides twice.

Weeks 4
The embryo grows and develops in the lining of the womb. The cells form into two and then into three after. These layers make up different things, 1st digestive system, 2nd heart blood vessles etc, 3rd brain and nervous system.

Week 5
Nervous system is developing, and its major organs are now in place. The heart is now forming and the baby has some of its blood vessels and blood is starting to circulate.

Week 6
The embryo is now starting to cure and the legs and arms are starting to become visible.

Week 7
Embryo is now 10mm long, the brain is now rapidly growing. Cartilage is now starting to form.

Week 8
The legs become longer and the now foetus is inside its amniotic sac and the placenta is still forming.

Week 9
The face is slowly forming, the eyes are strarting to gain a colour. The hands and feet are starting to show where the fingers and toes will be. Major organs are still developing.

Week 10
Ear canals are forming. Their heart is now fully formed and the baby is starting to make small movements.

Week 11
The placenta is rapildy developing. The bones of their face is now formed.

Week 12
The foetus is fully formed now.

Week 13
Weighs around 25g, their ovaries or testies are developed inside their body.

Week 14
85mm long. Their kidneys start to work.

Week 15
Baby will start to hear the outside world.

Week 16
The face muscles can move and facial expressions start to appear.

Week 17
150g, baby is now moving a lot.

By 20 weeks
The vernix has developed
