What are the 3 powers of the police?

Explain stop and search
A police officer may stop and search any person or vehicle for stolen or prohibited articles. However they must have responable grounds for suspecting that they will find stolen itmes, thye cannot simply stop and search without reason

Explain power to arrest
The police have the power to arrest anybody as long as the individual is involved in commiting or attempting to commit a criminal offence. The individual must be informed that they are under restraint and the police must only use sources necessary

Explain search and seizure
A police officer will have to obtain an arrest warrant to enter and search. Warrants will be provided if there are resonable grounds for believing either a criminal offence has been commited or that there is material at the premises
