Birth Rate
This is the number of babies born per 1000 people in the population each year

This is the number of deaths per 1000 people in the population each year

Natural Increase (or annual growthrate)
is the birthrate minus the death rate. This assumes that the birth rate is always higher than the death rate; this is not always the case. If this happens, the population is said to be in decline

Life Expectancy
This is how long people can expect to life. Life expectancy is normally higher for women than men.
