Positives of an ageing population
Positives - able to provide voluntary word, care homes creates jobs, grey pound market (cruises, garden centers etc)

pressure on healthcare, taxes increase due to pensions, housing problems

Stage 1 and Stage 2 DTM
Stage 1 - high birth and death rate to compensate eachother, population growth is slow Stage 2 - death rate decreases, birth rate stays the same, rapid population growth

Stage 3 and Stage 4 DTM
Stage 3 - birth rate decrease a bit, but still higher than death rate, still high population growth. Stage 4 - low birth and death rate, population growth is stabilizing.

Proposed when Birth rate falls below replacement level, leading to a decreasing population and deaths may rise due to diseases like low exercise etc.
