One Flesh- 1st 2 stanzas end with a rhyming couplet, this could signify the underlying unity between them. Last stanza- carries ABAB rhyme scheme throughout. Disappearance of couplet reinforces separation between them as rhyming lines are separated.

i wanna be yours- mostly regular rhyme and rhythm therefore giving poem a lyrical quality.

i wanna be yours- Devotion: Speaker claims to be utterly devoted to the person they are talking to, and is willing to commit to being a constant and useful part of their life.

One flesh- "Strangely apart, yet strangely close together, repetition emphasises the contradiction of the couple being both "apart" and "close together"- "strangely suggests that the speaker finds this difficult to understand

i wanna be yours- repetition of phrases such as "let me" and "i wanna be yours" highlights the depth of the speakers emotion, but also gives the impression that the speaker is pleading with the other person.

One Flesh- uses comparison of fire to love in line 'whose fire from which I came'. Explains that the person revealing situation is a child of the two lovers, who were once passionate but 'grown cold' suggests that they are no longer passionate.

i wanna be yours- within this poem a line such as 'that's how deep is my emotion' reveals how much the author cares for the person that this poem is directed towards. Shows love is powerful and vast

Attitude of one flesh- Writer is concerned about the relationship and well being of their relatonships. Talking about love that is fading; a relationship comig to an end.

Attitude of i wanna be yours- selfish attitude. Talking about a relationship that is just beginning to form.
