Themes of fantasia on a theme of James Wright? Structure?
THEMES: Tradition. STRUCTURE: graphology consistent, resembles the fact that mining was once a constant in society and something we relied on, but also reflects the ongoing struggles of miners as their occupation dies out and they're no longer valued

THEMES: nurture, identity. STRUCTURE: half rhyme shows that children aren't clones of their parents, they can break away and be their own person. The narrator isn't defined by her parent's relationship.

THEMES: destruction and battle. STRUCTURE: hardly any full stops, which forces the reader to read at a fast pace, reflecting chaoticness of war. Reader able to get a feel for the soldier's fast paced life and ongoing struggle.

THEMES: Isolation. STRUCTURE: enjambment used continually to create a disorientating effect, mirroring how mother feels. irregular structure reflects physically bumping into things.

THEMES: culture, society, identity. STRUCTURE: enjambment reflects ongoing journey of life. structure not consistent which reflects freedom of travel. But second half more rigid - independent and gained stability and a mature posed attitude.
