Plant cells and structure

?
Key words
Chloroplasts, cell wall, Amyloplasts, Vacuole, Tonoplast, Plasmodesmata, Pits, Middle Lamella, Primary wall, Secondary wall, Cellulose, Lignin, Thylakoid, Chloraphyl, Granum.
1 of 14
Chloroplasts
Hold Starch granuals which produces energy for the cells.
2 of 14
Thylakoid
A membrane stack which contains Chloraphyl.
3 of 14
Granum
A stack of Thylakoids.
4 of 14
Middle Lamella
The first layer of a cell wall in a plant cell and is made up of Calcium Pectate.
5 of 14
Primary Wall
Second layer of the cell wall and is made up of cellulose.
6 of 14
Secondary wall
A further layer of the cell wall made of cellulose and may contain lignin. Lignin penetrates all wall layers and then hardens them, therefore it provides support for the cell wall.
7 of 14
Plasmodesmata
Special Cytoplasm bridges that form between cells.
8 of 14
Plasmodesmata
They can form when cells divide, the cells dont seperate completely, and the threads pass through gaps in the newly formed cell walls and signalling substances can pass from one to another through cytoplasm of the cells and is known as the Symplast.
9 of 14
Pits
They are in the cell wall and do not have Primary and Secondary layers themsleves.
10 of 14
The anatomy of a plant cell
Free Ribosomes, Golgi apparatus, Rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) with ribosomes attached, Chloroplast, Lysosome, Mitochondrion, Smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER), Plasma memebrane, Ceellulose cell wall, Vacuole surrounded by tonoplast.
11 of 14
More anatomy of a plant cell
Nucleus, Nuclear envelope, Chromatin, Temporary vacuoles formed by intucking of plasma membrane,Centrioles, smooth endoplasmic reticulum.
12 of 14
Cell wall
Tough coarse mesh made from a protein called murein which supports the cell and id found in Bacterium.
13 of 14
Cell membrane
Same structure as in eukaryotes and have mesosomes and they are inner foldings of the cell membrane.
