What useful thing does a spongy mesophyll have?
Contains many air spaces, which help with gas exchange throughout the leaf.

What does the epidermal tissue cover?
The outer surface of the leaf

What is the palisade mesophyll
Row of cells located below the upper epidermis. The cells are exposed to a lot of sunlight and so have lots of chloroplasts.

What is the stomata
Found in the lower epidermis, these gaps facilitate (make easier) the diffusion of gases in and out of the leaf.
