There belief was very important as it influenced there way of life. For example the belief in the Wanka Tanka (The Great Spirit) lived in the Happy Hunting Ground where they hunted.

Scalp the enemy, Counting Coup (touch the enemy), went to war in summer, only went their food supplies were high and they had to stay alive so not to lose their scalp.
