What is Piaget's Theory?
Piaget's stage theory describes the cognitive development of children. Cognitive development involves changes in cognitive process.

Sensorimotor - 0-2 Years
Object Permanance - Peek-a-boo. a child who is two will look for a hidden object but a baby wont as they have no sense of object permanance.

Pre-operational - 2-7 Years
Egocentrism. Child only sees and thinks of the world form thei point of view.

Concrete Operational - 7-11 Years
Can conserve. A child will be able to recognise that even when something changes/turns its shape or volume doesn't change.

Formal Operational (Adolecence and Adulthood)
Solving Problems in a systematic way. A child will work things out in a way that works for them.
