In ohms, calculated from the potential difference across a component and the current flowing through it.

The total sum of the resistances of the all components in a circuit.

When the length of the wire increases and when the thickness of the wire decreases.

It is a good conductor of electricity.

Protection and safet.

How do fuses protect electrical circuits and appliances?
Fuse has a low melting point so when current going through the fuse is too great, the wire heats up and melts which breaks the circuit.

Many electrical appliances have metal casing so why is it important they have and earth wire?
It is safe route rather than the live wire which if it came loose and touched the metal casing it would give people and electric shock.
