What does insulation do?
Reduces heat loss from homes.

What is loft insulation?
A thick layer of fibreglass wool is laid out across the whoel loft floor.

Why use loft insulation?
It reduces conduction and radiation into the roof space from the ceiling.

What is cavity wall insulation?
Foam is squirted into the gap between the bricks.

Why use cavity wall insulation?
It reduces convection and radiation across the gap.

What is a hot water tank jacket?
Insulating materials, e.g. fibreglass wool, reduce conduction and radiation.

Higher.
