What is meant by evapouration?
Evapouration is when a liquid chages to a gas.
1 of 6
2 differences of evapouration and boiling.
1)Boiling takes place throught a liquid; evapouration at the surface. 2)Boiling takes place at the boiling temperature; evapouration at any temperature.
2 of 6
2 weather conditions that make evapouration happen more quickly and why.
1) warmer weather; molecules have more energy and can break free of bonds more easily. 2) windy or dry; the air surrounding does not become saturated.
3 of 6
Explain why convection cannot take place in solids.
Convection is when particles move through a substance, transferring energy; particles in solids particles cannot change places and move through a solid.
4 of 6
Explain what is meant by specific heat capacity.
Specific heat capacity is the energy absorbed by 1kg ofmaterial when its temperature increases by 1 degrees cecius.
5 of 6
Efficiency equation?
useful energy output/total energy input
