Whenever two objects interact, what forces do they exert on each other?
The forces they exert on each other are equal and opposite
1 of 5
What is the resultant force?
The single force that would have the same effect on the object as all the original forces acting together
2 of 5
What happens if the resultant force on an object is zero?
The object will remain stationary or if the object is moving, it will continue moving at the same speed in the same direction
3 of 5
What happens if there is a resultant force on a stationary object?
It will accelerate in the direction of the resultant force
4 of 5
What happens if there is a resultant force on a moving object?
If the object is moving in the same direction as the resultant force, it will accelerate. However, if the object is moving in the opposite direction of the resultant force, it will decelerate
