Cornea
A clear surface that allows light to pass through, but ALSO preotects the eye from dust and infection.

The coloured part of the eye containing muscles that controls how much light enters the pupil

Changes shape to refact and focus light onto the retina

Ciliary Muscles
connected to the lens to adjust its shape by pulling on it

Suspensory ligaments
connected to the ciliary muscles to hold them in place, they stretch as the ciliary muscles move the lens

Retina
Where images are formed.Has light sensitive cells that send electrical impulese to the brain

The optic nerve
carries the electrical messages to the brain
