Momentum = Mass x Velocity = 65 x 10 = 650kg m/s

1. Crumple Zones- crumple and change shape on impact, increasing the time taken for the car to stop. 2. Air Bags- slow you down more gradually. 3. Seat Belts- stretch slightly, increasing time taken for the wearer to stop.

Gravitational Potential Energy and is energy due to height of an object

Energy of movement. Kinetic Energy = 1/2 x mass x speed

They convert G.P.E. into K.E.

What is the equation for power and what is it measured in?
Power = Work Done / Time Taken. It is measured in Watts (J/s)

A cars engine exerts a driving force of 1900N when travelling at a speed of 25m/s. Find its power output?
Power = Force x Speed = 1900 x 25 = 47 500 W (=47.5kW)
