Physics P1 2.1 Forms of energy.

?
What different forms does energy exist in?
Light, sound, kinetic (movement), nuclear, electrical, gravitational potential, elastic potential and chemical.
1 of 8
What three forms of energy are forms of stored energy?
Gravitational potential, elastic potential and chemical.
2 of 8
How can energy change form?
Energy can be transferred from one form into another form.
3 of 8
What has gravitational potential energy?
Any object above the ground.
4 of 8
What happens to the energy of a falling object?
A falling object transfers gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy. When an object falls and gains speed its gravitational potential energy decreases and its kinetic energy increases.
5 of 8
What or of energy does a compressed spring have?
Elastic potential energy.
6 of 8
Where does the chemical energy stored in your muscles come from?
From the food you eat.
