What does "Limiting Factor" mean?
Preventing photosynthesis from happening any faster
16 of 26
What is the limiting factor at night?
Light is the limiting factor
17 of 26
What is the limiting factor in winter
Temperature is the limiting factor
18 of 26
What is the limiting factor when its summer? Hint; What doesn't the sun let out?
Carbon Dioxide is the limiting factor
19 of 26
What other thing not mentioned before can be a limiting factor?
Chlorophyll when there isn't enough of it.
20 of 26
What does the graph for temperature being a limiting factor look like?
It should resemble a 'n' shape.
21 of 26
What can a gardener use to make plants photosynthesis more?
They can get artificial lighting to make it happen 24/7
22 of 26
What can a gardener do in Winter/summer?
Use a heater on his plants/Use vents to prevent it getting to hot.
23 of 26
Outline the key stages in the test for starch in plants.
1) Place in hot water 2) Place in ethanol 3) Wash with water 4) put on white tile and add iodine.
24 of 26
Outline the key stages in photosynthesis test.
1) Pond weed in water 2) Put light a set distance away 3) Wait fro plan to adjust 4) count amount of bubble or using a syringe and 'capillary tube' pull the oxygen out and measure.
25 of 26
In the inverse square law how are light intensity and distance linked?
As the distance increases the light intensity decreases. They are inversely proportional to each other.
