Explain Feuerbach's theory's first step-externalisation..
We externalise an ideal version of humanity-one that is an improvement of ourselves, that we wish we could be more like. Like you might externalise an ideal version of yourself but less ugly.
1 of 16
now the second theory.
objectification: our need and desire for this ideal version to be the reality objectifies it- we need it.
2 of 16
third step
we would not aspire to be like the ideal version if we knew that originated within ourselves-we alienate it and destroy the link between us, and then we model ourselves after it.

Primal hoarding. Chief is father figure- sleeps with everyone’s wives, pisses them off. Kill him and replace him with a God (an animal that represents the tribe) to avoid it again. They eat the animal every year, similar to the Eucharist.

Descartes trademark argument. Go.
We have an idea of God. everything has a cause. The cause must be as real as the effect. The idea contains perfection, so must the cause, nothing other that God contains that perfection, ergo God exists and caused my idea of God.
