Mind and brain and body are separate things, but the mind is a property of the brain so they cannot survive independently of eachother.

Everything is made of matter; including the mind and conciousness

What is the indivisibility argument from Descartes
R1: My mind is indivisble (non-physical, so it cannot be physically cut up into pieces), R2: My body is divisible (it is composed of physical matter, so it can be cut up into separate pieces) C: The mind and body are therefore different things.

What is the conceivability argument?
R1: I have a clear and distinct idea of my mind as a thinking substance R2: I have a clear and distinct idea of my body as a spatially extended substance IC1: I can think of them separately IC2: It is possible for them to be separate C:Separate

What is logical privacy?
R1: My mind is logically private (only I can know my thoughts) R2: My brain is not logically private (Can see it through scans and surgery) C: Therefore they must be different things.

What is qualia?
Something which someone percieves as an experience - What the experience is like to the conscious subject

What is introspection?
Only the conscious substance can observe (introspect) their mind/mental states, whereas anyone can observe the brain as it is not logically private.

What is logical behaviourism?
The mind is a series of behaviours and behavioural dispositions.
