Mount Pinatubo is found in the Western Philippines and it is found at a destructive plate margin. On the 5th of April 40 earthquakes where recorded and later on the 9th of June pyroclastic flows occurred. The most violent eruption occurred on the 15th of

In 1976, just of Mindanao, there was an earthquake of magnitude 7.9 which caused tsunamis and inundated the western shore of Mindanao, killing up to 8000 people
