Pharmacodynamics
The study of how a drug affects an organism. This determines the Biochemical and Physiological role of the drug.
2 of 9
Absorbtion
The process of a substance entering the blood circulation. The unchanged drug moves from the site of administration to the site of measurement (blood/plasms)

Metabolism
The recognition by the organism that a foreign substance is present and the irreversible transformation of parent compounds into daughter metabolites.
5 of 9
Excretion
The removal of substances from the body. In rare cases drugs irreversibly can accumulated in the body tissue.
6 of 9
Elimination
The term for Metabolism and Excretion stages combined.
