Borderline Personality Disorder
- Instability in modd, self-image and relationships - Chronic fear of abandonment - Impulsivity

Antisocial Personality Disorder
- Conduct disorder before age 15 - Truancy, lying, theft, arson, destruction of property, running away from home - Continuation of these into adulthood - 70-80% of prison pop.

- Not in DSM-5 -Antisocial behaviour and callousness, manipulation, no remorse, superficial charm, extreme sense of self-worth, measured using psychopathy checklist revised, considered untreatable, controversial

1. Controversial diagnoses: are we pathologising normal variations in personality? 2. Antisocial personality disorder, psychopathy and criminality = overlapping but separate constructs
