Hibernate during winter, thick fur and black layers, camouflage, black skin to absorb heat

very warm and humid, dark on ground, lots of competion, not much grows near ground

live up in canopy eg sloths, trees grow quickly to get light, very dark green leaves to absorb light, monkeys need to leap between trees

food and water are scarce, hot temperatures

Animals hide in cool burrows to avoid the highest temperautes, water frogs live underground and hold water in their mouths, camels have wide feet so they dont sink in sand, stands in breeze at top of dunes
