Any longer distance activities, ones that are more continuous. Like marathon running

glucose ----> energy----> lactic acid

Short distance. Where body works without sufficient oxygen being supplied to the muscles

What are the 3 functions of the circulatory system?
Transport, oxygen, water and nutrients around the body. Protection, antibodies are located in the blood which help fight off disease. Regulating body temperature.

By keeping the heart rate high for a long period of time.
