What is Health Related Fitness?
A state of complete social, mental and physical well-being and not merely the absence of illness or disease.

Define Cardiovascular Endurance
The ability to work for long periods of time without tiring.

Define Muscular Endurance
The ability of the muscles to move weight over a long period of time without tiring and losing effectiveness.

Define Muscular Strength
The ability to lift a maximum weight once and the ability to use force to overcome resistance.

Define Flexibility
The ability to move a joint to its fullest range. With regular practice the joints can get nearer to their maximum range of movement.

The % of bones, fat and muscle in the body.

The ability to meet the demands of the environment.

Define Agility
The ability to change direction at speed and keep control of your whole body at the same time. e.g. dodging an opponent in rugby

The ability to apply a combination of strength and speed in an explosive action e.g. throwing a discus

The ability to use your body at its fastest rate at which a person can complete a task or cover a distance e.g. 100m sprint

Define Balance
The ability to keep control of the whole body whether stable, moving or in a different shape. Keeping the center of gravity over the base e.g beam balance

The ability of time it takes to respond to a stimulus e.g. saving a goal in football

The ability to use two or more parts of the body at the same time. e.g. a tennis serve
