What is a tactic
A plan that is made before you start playing in a game wich considers your own weaknesses and strengths

What is a strategy and an example
a plan of action made before a game is played. E.g- in football, the 4-2-2 formation is a strategy

Width in attack is when you ...
place attacking players across width of pitch, causing defenders to space out and create space to attack.

Wifth in defense is when ...
Spreading your defenders across the width of the pitch to cover all areas of the pitch when your opponents have possesion.

Depth in attack is when ..
place players behind attackers so there is no forward movement can be made. play can be passes backward to supporting playerrs, could create new scoring possibility.

Delay in defense is when ...
hold you position in front of the attacker. this will slow down opponents and enable defenders to get back and help/ provide support.

a second defender moves behind the defender who is pressuring the ball to support them if they're beaten.

under less pressure/ had more time to perfomr skills. improvement- skill level stayed higher when under pressure.

must apply force against a resistance to allow movement in opposite direction.

Attacking Responsibilities
Create space, for other team mates to attack by drawing defenders out of position. Delay attack and wait for support. To create space to shoot, to score, or for my team mates. To attack quickly, before defence can organise.

We played with two wingers, one playing wide on each wing and a centre forward in the middle

Apply depth in attack to badminton doubles
When one player attacks or plays a shot in the front court the other player moves behind him/her into the backcourt to cover for the return shot

Apply Depth in Defense to basketball
We played a 2 - 1 - 2 zone defence and always had a defender behind the defender marking the attacker in with the ball
