the performer often improves, performer normally gets free equipment and clothes or even paid to wear them, however it can lead to a loss of privacy or free time, make a performer cheat to not loose sponsorship

allows clubs to improve, new competitions, sponsorship isnt evenly distributed within sports, sponsors are gaining more control over the sports,

opportunities to travel around the world for matches, can becomes famous, bad decisions mean you can be dropped or abused

facilities improved, longer seasons= more time to watch, good camera angles and coverage,can cause isolation from a live match though

good audience for their products, product then seems to be linked with success, could ruin sales for product though if something bad happens, cheating/ drug taking/ run of poor results harms their reputation
