what is the relationship between fitness and health
ill health can negatively affect fitness, ill health may not affect the fitness, increasing fitness can have a positive impact on health, might be content or happy with yourself if you have both of these things, enhanced your social well being,

what are the three subcategories of health and fitness ?
social- eg, enjoyment, make friends, team work; mental- eg, relieve stress, confidence boost; physical- eg, loose weight, keep fit

what test is done to test balance and how is it done ?
the stork balance test, stand on your tiptoes and put one foot on your knee joint and time yourself

what test is done to test flexibility and how is it done ?
the sit and reach test , you use a sit and reach box and put your feet under the box and with your legs straight and see how far you can reach and measure it

what test is done to test reaction time and how is it done ?
the ruler drop test, one person hold the ruler between the other persons hand at 0 and then drops the ruler and the other person has to grab it and measure where they caught it

what test is done to test cardio-vascular endurance and how is it done ?
the multi stage fitness test, you have a tape playing and have to run from one end of the measured distance to the other in between the two gaps

what test is done to test agility and how is it done ?
the illinois agility test, cones are set up which the person has to run around as fast as they can and record their time: draw layout of cones

what test is done to test co-ordination and how is it done ?
the wall toss test, in 30 seconds a ball is thrown at the wall and caught by the other hand and the results are counted and recorded their feet must be together two metres away from the wall

what test is done to test muscular endurance and how is it done ?
the sit up bleep test, someone holds your feet and you go up and down on the bleep whilst staying in time with it and counting how many you do

what test is done to test power/ explosive strength and how is it done ?
the vertical jump test, stand still and touch the wall ruler as far as you can and mark it, then jump as high as possible and mark it then work out the difference

what test is done to test maximal strength and how is it done ?
the one rep max test, use weights and lift them once and if you can lift that one move onto a heavier one and carry on until no more weight can be lifted

the 30m speed test, use a stopwatch to time how long it takes you to sprint 30m

what are the reasons for fitness testing ?
identifying strengths and fitnesses, to monitor improvements, motivation/set goals, to provide variety

what are the limitations of fitness testing ?
tests aren't sport specific, dont replicate movements of the activity, dont replicate competetive conditions, some have questionable reliability, must be carried out with correct procedures to increase validity, many dont use direct mesuring
