Skin- cuts Gas exchange system-get past mucus lining and cilia in lung epithelium to reach alveoli, droplets inhaled in air. Digestive system-pathogens on food/water reach stomach and small intestine (if not killed by stomach acid)
Toxins Damaging host tissues/cells-break membranes to release nutirents/replicates in cell and bursts it/ high no. prevents tissues functioning/viruses inhibit synthesis if dna, rna and protiens
