What does the cornea do?
Control and focuses the entry of light.

Light enters through it.

Regulates the amount of light by controlling the size of the pupil.

What does the retina do?
Retina converts incident light energy into signals that are carried to the brain by the optic nerve.

Transmits impulses to the brain from the retina at the back of the eye.

What happens if an object is at a distance?
The ciliary muscle relaxes and becomes thinner.

What happens if an object is near?
Ciliary muscle contracts and becomes fatter so it can focus.
