Cerebrum
This is divided into into four types of lobes, each with a different function, although there may be some overlapping.

Frontal Lobes
These are at the front of the brain and are responsible for complex thinking, creativity and reasoning as well as the primary motor cortex

Occipital Lobes
These can be found at the back of the brain and are responsible for visual processing, vision and sight

Parietal Lobes
These are found at the top of the brain and are responsible for controlling movement and our senses, touch, taste, pain and temperature

Temporal Lobes
These are located at the sides of brain and are responsible for hearing and are involved in memory

Hypothalamus
This controls the release of hormones and regulates drives important for survival such as thirst, hunger, temperature and sleep

Pituitary Gland
This is the size of a pea, but it releases hormones that control the body's response to stress, growth and the changes that take place in puberty
