Add 10cm3 pf cyclohexanol to flask, slowly add 4cm3 of conc H3PO4 and mix thoroughly,add anti bumping granules-set up for reflux, heat to 70`c for 15 mins, stop heating, let it cool, set up for distillation, raise temp slowly from 70-90`c

Add equal volumes of saturated NaCl to solution in separating funnel,allow separation-discard lower aq layer, wash organic layer with equal volume of H2O, run into conical flask, add CaCl2(s),decant liquid into a weighed container,reweigh + find mass

test for the presence of a c=c bond in the product-use bromine water
