What is the equation for a moment?
moment (Nm, Ncm) = force (N) × distance (m, cm)
1 of 8
What is equilibrium?
When the sum off all anticlockwise moments = sum of all clockwise moments
2 of 8
What is the centre of gravity of an object?
The point at which the entire weight of an object acts.
3 of 8
What is Hooke's Law?
The extension of a material is directly proportional to the force applied to the material, until the limit.
4 of 8
What does it mean if something's elastically stretched?
If unloaded, it will return to zero: it will go back to its original size.
5 of 8
What is it when something has been stretched too far to go back to its original size?
It has been permanently stretched.
6 of 8
What is accuracy?
Close to the true value: in the centre of the bullseye.
7 of 8
What is precision?
How close in agreement the measured values from repeated measurements are.
