How are the componets connected in a series circuit?
One after the other.
1 of 8
What happens if there is a break in the circuit?
The charge stops flowing.
2 of 8
What is the current through each component?
The same as there is only one route for the current.
3 of 8
What does the current depend on?
The potential difference of the supply and the total resistance of the circuit.
4 of 8
Where is the potential difference shred between?
All of the components of the circuit.
5 of 8
What do all of the componets add up to?
The potential difference of the power supply.
6 of 8
What do the resistance of the individual componets add up to?
The resistacne of the whole circuit.
7 of 8
What does a bigger resistance in a component mean?
The bigger its share of the supply's potential difference.
