What changes when a force acts on a object?
The momentum of the object changes.

The smaller the force that acts is.

What sometimes happens in a collision?
The momentum of an object becomes zero as the object comes to rest.

What is imapact time?
Time taken for a collision to take place.

What happens if the impact time is short?
The forces on the object are large.

What happens if the impact time is increased?
The force becomes less.

What are crumple zones?
Region of the car designed to crumple to reduce forces on passengers.

How do crumple zones work?
They increase the impact time so reduce the force on the car and people in it.
