What does the y axis show?
The velocity of an object.
1 of 8
What does the x axis show?
The time taken.
2 of 8
What does the gradient of the line show?
The acceleration.
3 of 8
What does a steeper gradient mean?
The greater the acceleration.
4 of 8
What happens if the line is horizontal?
The acceleration is 0 and is travelling at a constant speed.
5 of 8
What happens if the line is negative?
The object is decelerating.
6 of 8
What is the area under the line?
Represents the distance travelled in the time given.
