What is the velcoity of an object?
The objects speed in a given direction.
1 of 7
What happens if it changes direction but not speed?
Then the velocity changes as it is going a different direction.
2 of 7
What do we call it if the velocity of an object changes?
We say that it accelerates.
3 of 7
How do we calculate acceleration?
Acceleration in m/s2 = Final velocity in m/s - Inital velocity in m/s /divided/ time taken for the change in seconds.
4 of 7
If the value for acceleration is negative what is this?
Deceleration which is the same as negative acceleration.
5 of 7
What is m/s the units for?
Speed and velocity.
6 of 7
What is m/s squared the units for?
Acceleration.
