What is the law of convestion of energy?
ENERGY can never be CREATED NOR DESTROYED - it's only ever TRANSFERRED from one form to another.
1 of 9
What are the eight types of energy?
Thermal (heat), Light, Electrial, Sound, Kinteic (movement), Chemical, Nuclear, Elastic Potential and Gravitational Potential
2 of 9
What are energy chains?
Energy chains shows the types of energy that are used and produced by a machine. E.g. Electric light bulb: electrical energy light energy.
3 of 9
How do different surfaces affect the amount of energy radiated (energy given out) or absorbed (energy taken in)? 1/3
Dark Matt colour are good absorbers and emitters of heat energy. Light Shiny colours are poor absorbers and emmitters of heat energy.
4 of 9
How do different surfaces affect the amount of energy radiated (energy given out) or absorbed (energy taken in)? 2/3
To KEEP things hot or cold we need to slow the absorption or emission of heat so we use light shiny colours,
5 of 9
How do different surfaces affect the amount of energy radiated (energy given out) or absorbed (energy taken in)? 3/3
To GAIN OR LOOSE heat energy quickly we use dark matt colours,

How would an object keep an object at an constant temperature?
For an object to stay the same temperature it must emit the same amount of energy as it absorbing every second. (J/s is the same as the power measured in W for Watts).
7 of 9
Give an example of how an object has keep the consatnt temperature?
Light bulb 100J of electrial energy in every second will stay the same temperature if it emits 100J of heat energy every second. E.g. A black pipe will stay the same temperature if it absorb 50W of light and emits 50W of heat.
8 of 9
How do object warm up and cool down?
If an object absorb more energy every second than it will warm up. If an object emits more energy every second than it absorb it will cool down.
