What is white light?
White light contains the colours of the visible light spectrum.

What do we use infrared radiation for?
Infrared radiation => remote controls for devices such as TVs and CD players.

What do we use microwaves for?
Microwaves => used in communications. They are used to send signals to and from satellites and within mobile phone networks.

Radio Waves => transmit radio and TV programs and carry mobile phone signals.

Visible light => photography.

What are the hazards of microwave radiation and radio waves?
Microwave radiation and radio waves penetrate your skin and are absorbed by body tissue. This can heat your internal organs and may damage them.

What are the hazards of infrared radiation?
Infrared radiation is absorbed by skin; too much will burn your skin.
