Lycaon, extremely inhospitable, plans to kill Jupiter: but also, killed guest and roasted him to serve to Jupiter-god of hospitality. Lycaon turned into wolf (Reflection of personality+impiety)Jove decides to destroy entire race and create a new one.

Io(1)
Io, STEALTHILY ***** by Jupiter, was turned into a SNOW-WHITE HEIFFER, to avoid the wrath of Juno. Argus is in charge of Io,Mercury sent to save her. Quote: INNOCENT NECK WITH A HALTER, KISSING HER FATHER'S HANDS. Themes: love, jealousy

Pan and Syrinx (Digression)
similer to daphne, syrinx a naiad is pursued by Pan. modelled herself on diana, therefore chaste. R.ladon, turned into marsh reeds. Pan BOUND SOME REEDS OF UNEQUAL LENGTH WITH A COATING OF WAX - syrinx/panpipes.

Io (2)
Argus is killed by Mercury, 100 eyes given SETTING LIKE SPARKLING JEWELS in the feathers of peacock her bird. Juno haunts Io, Jup placates Juno and Io tranformed back into nymph, but GLOWING BEAUTY survived.

Phaethon
Phaethon teased by Ephaphus, saying he's not actually sun god's son. Mother tells him to go to the sun god himself.
