Red blood cells and phloem sieve tubes in plants do not have this.
Nucleus
1 of 15
Found in plant cells and is the site of photosynthesis.
Chloroplast
2 of 15
The site of aerobic respiration.
Mitochondria
3 of 15
This surrounds the nucleus as it is a pair of membranes.
Nucleus envelope
4 of 15
A network of membranes with ribosomes attached.
Rough endoplasmic reticulum
5 of 15
Membranes inside a chloroplast are called this (plural).
Grana
6 of 15
Tiny bags of digestive enzymes that fuse with other vesicles within the cell.
Lysosomes
7 of 15
A membrane that surrounds the vacuole.
Tonoplast
8 of 15
This surrounds the cell and can be known as the plasma membrane.
Cell surface membrane
9 of 15
These make and organise microtubules and are only found in animal cells.
Centrioles
10 of 15
This surrounds a plant cell and is made of cellulose.
Cell wall
11 of 15
A network of membranes that do not have ribosomes attached.
Smooth endoplasmic reticulum
12 of 15
A stack of curved membranes that constantly changes.
Golgi apparatus
13 of 15
These are long, thin extensions from the surface of the cell and are found in some animal cells, and rarely in plant cells.
Cilia and flagella
14 of 15
This provides mechanical strength for the cell and helps to direct movement of organelles within the cell.
Cytoskeleton
15 of 15
