What are all living organisms made out of?
Cells
1 of 9
What does the cell theory state?
That all new cells are formed from other pre-existing cells
2 of 9
What does the membrane in eukaryotic cells do?
Allows separate areas of cells to be isolated so that enzymes and other potentially harmful chemicals do not damage the rest of the cell. Provide a transport system within the cell. Can isolate the surface area fr enzyme activity.
3 of 9
What do multicellular organisms contain?
Cells that have evolved to carry out different functions within the organisms.
4 of 9
What do these cells work together as?
Tissue
5 of 9
What is an example of tissue?
Muscle which contins cells that perform different functions such as contraction and transmission of nerve impulses.
6 of 9
What is an example of something with undifferentiated cells?
Parenchyma in plants
7 of 9
What do tissues work together to form?
Organs
