nucleus
structure:spherial structure;surrounded by a double membrane the nuclear envelope. There are lots of holes in the envelope called nuclear pores which contain at least one nucleolus.
1 of 5
mitochondrian
surrounded by a double membrane. the inner membrane is folded in cristae. within the membrane is the matrix. FUNCTION: Produces ATP during respiration from substances like glucose
2 of 5
ribosomes
Small granules, made of ribosomal DNA and protein. Function=protein synthesis
3 of 5
cell wall
Found in plant cells. Composed of microfibrils of cellulose.FUNCTION: Gives mechanical strength to the cell and plant. Allows the passage of water outside of cells and around the plant.
4 of 5
Vacuole
Found in plant cells. Fluid filled sac bound by a single membrane called tonoplast.Mineral salts, sugars and amino acids are all dissolved in the fluid.
